This plant is very well known and in great demand. It is easy to grow but has one drawback: some people are allergic to the hair that covers the foliage.
It needs plenty of light, but should have no direct sun. A cool place is most suitable if the temperature is too high your plant will suffer. Water generously and spray the foliage with tepid water. Do not get the flowers wet, or they will spoil quickly. Repot annually after the blooming. This plant needs good drainage, and should be fertilized weekly. It can be grown outside in the summer. Propagation is done by seeding.
Many varieties are available and you will find this plant with white, pink, red, or blue flowers.
